Alkosel

Alkosel

Alkosel is an inactivated Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCYC R397 yeast, designed to enrich selenium and balance the diets of animals, birds and aquaculture with this trace element. Grown on specialized selenium-containing substrates, yeast is enriched with selenium, in the form of selenomethionine and other selenoamino compounds with a high level of bioavailability. Alkocel contains selenium in the amount of 2000–2400 mg/kg. The concentration of selenomethionine in the product is at least 3150 mg/kg.

THREE WAYS OF ALKOSEL ACTION

HIGH BIOAVAILABILITY

At least 98% of the selenium in Alkosel is represented by organic compounds that have higher bioavailability compared to inorganic sources of selenium, and are easily absorbed by the body.

INCREASED ANTIOXIDANT STATUS

Selenium is a component of a number of enzymes, the main role of which is to protect body cells from the effects of oxidation (lipid peroxidation).

ACCUMULATION IN BODY TISSUES

Selenium in the composition of organic compounds, unlike inorganic ones, is able to accumulate in meat and milk, enriching livestock products with a trace element vital for humans. It is able to overcome the placental barrier, creating a supply of antioxidants for the needs of the young.
