Live bacteria Pediococcus acidilactici CNCM I‑4622, a homofermentative strain specifically selected for its ability to rapidly produce lactic acid (L+). It contributes to the conversion of complex nutrients, improves digestion, regulates intestinal microflora, and helps protect the organism against undesirable bacteria.

As a zootechnical additive, BACTOCELL stabilizes microflora in animals of all species and can be used in organic production in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 2018/848.

MECHANISM OF ACTION of BACTOCELL in the organism

BACTOCELL associates with the gut mucosa
BACTOCELL adheres to the intestine and associates with the mucosal lining. This enables direct interactions with intestinal cells and modulates the mucosal microenvironment. This specific property of BACTOCELL is the key to a true probiotic effect, as close contact with epithelial cells allows the formation of a stable and beneficial intestinal microbial ecosystem.

BACTOCELL persists in the gut
BACTOCELL remains alive in the intestine and persists for several hours. This property ensures prolonged presence of probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract, enabling active interactions with mucosal cells, maintaining microbial balance, and supporting digestive stability. Such persistence is essential for a genuine probiotic effect, strengthening gut health and enhancing overall resilience of the organism.

BACTOCELL produces lactic acid
BACTOCELL synthesizes a large quantity of lactic acid. Pediococcus acidilactici was specifically selected for its ability to produce high levels of lactic acid. This intensive production lowers local intestinal pH and creates a favorable environment for the development of beneficial bacteria, particularly lactic acid bacteria. This mechanism underpins the probiotic effect, supporting microbial balance and establishing conditions for stable digestive function.
